ABOUT US

The Ramparts' first performance was March 2016 where they sang for RTE's 'The Rising' in front of a packed audience. They have also been invited as guest choirs for various corporate events in Trinity College, Freemasons Hall and Malahide. Anywhere there's a crowd that needs to be entertained the Ramparts are ready to melt faces! The highlight of the year was competing in the first all a capella competition hosted by Ardú, July 2016, where they won the audience vote for most entertaining group. The Ramparts are delighted to have been invited back to sing at the Gala concert with Ardú, and will be competing in Ireland's only a capella contest for the second time.

The Ramparts are an all-male Dublin based a cappella group set up in Feb 2016 by Ruaidhrí Ó Dálaigh. Dubbed as ‘old school meets new school’ these guys were inspired by the likes of Westminster Chorus from the USA and Swedish group, Zero 8. Armed with a pitch-pipe, they love to entertain audiences singing Pop, Traditional Irish, Folk, Barbershop, and also dabble in a bit of Classical. Their repertoire offers a wide range of styles to suit any event or audience type. The Ramparts are available for hire for corporate events, and work regularly for various event management companies around Ireland.

They’ve had a very exciting year competing on BBC One TV show, Pitch Battle and more recently TV3's Ireland's Got Talent. They became internet sensations last summer with viral video performances of My Lovely Horse on Grafton Street, Baby on Board on Green 19's rooftop and On Raglan Road on the DART. They also had the honour of being invited by the cast of Once, The Musical, to sing on The Olympia Theatre Stage.

Showing no signs of slowing down, The Ramparts are fresh off their exclusive tour of Marbella in June. They also hosted their first ever gig to a sell out crowd in The Sugar Club, Dublin in July. To finish off an amazing summer they were super excited to take the ‘Ram-PARTY’ to Electric Picnic September 2018. They wrapped up 2018 touring the length and breadth of the country with The Coca Cola Christmas Truck and a performance on RTE Radio One's Liveline Christmas Eve Special.
